Woonhuis Zeewolde

The extension at the rear (partly in the old garage) is intended to make the living room on the sunny garden side of the house.

In that garden there is an opportunity to spot birds and the large window gives the opportunity to do so.

Much attention has been paid to adequate and fixed sun protection to protect the facades on the south and south-west from the sun. Otherwise there is a risk of overheating in the summer. The roof light in the kitchen is also equipped with sun protection.

The kitchen is now centrally placed in the house. The old kitchen has now become the pantry.

Due to the design of the floor plan, it was not necessary to carry out large heels and breaking work in the original rear façade. The passage to the extension is formed by the recess that the old wooden sliding door has left behind after disassembly.
